I wanted a simple fried dessert that could be made without a complicated dough, and churros are one of those recipes that come together with just a few basic ingredients. The dough starts on the stovetop with water, butter, sugar, and flour, then gets piped directly into hot oil using a star piping tip. A quick cinnamon-sugar coating and chocolate dip finish everything off.
The churros come out crisp on the outside with a soft, tender center, while the cinnamon-sugar coating adds a light sweetness around the edges. The warm chocolate dip gives you something rich to dunk each churro into while it is still fresh. If you’re making a dessert spread, Double Chocolate Fudge Cookies and Almond Biscotti are two more recipes to add alongside them.

Let us know how it was!Fresh churros are best when the contrast between the crisp coating and soft center is still noticeable. The cinnamon sugar takes only a moment to prepare, while the chocolate dip gives the batch an easy finishing touch without adding much extra work. Since the dough is prepared on the stovetop and fried immediately, this is a straightforward dessert to make when you want something freshly cooked and ready to serve warm.
