Marble Cake Recipe

Marble Cake Recipe

I made this marble cake when I wanted something simple enough for an everyday bake but still a little more interesting than a plain vanilla loaf. The batter starts with a buttery vanilla base, then part of it gets mixed with cocoa before the two are layered and swirled together. I loved how easy it was to create that marbled look without needing anything complicated.

Once sliced, you get those soft vanilla and chocolate streaks running through every piece. The cake has a tender, buttery crumb with just enough cocoa to give the chocolate side its own character without taking over. If you enjoy simple homemade bakes, Blueberry Lemon Muffin and Chocolate Hazelnut Cookies are two more recipes to try.

A good marble cake does not need complicated decoration to look appealing. The simple swirl gives each slice a different pattern, while the combination of vanilla and cocoa keeps the flavor familiar and easy to enjoy. It is the kind of loaf that works just as well for an afternoon coffee or tea as it does when you want something homemade to have on the counter.
